Whereas the province of Ontario requested financial assistance from the federal government on September 30, 2010, in respect of the provincial emergency referred to in the annexed Order;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to paragraphs 7(c) and (d) of the Emergency Management Act, hereby makes the annexed Provincial Emergency Financial Assistance Order No. 128.

Attendu que l’Ontario a présenté une demande d’aide financière au gouvernement fédéral le 30 septembre 2010 à l’égard de l’urgence provinciale visée par le décret ci-après,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et en vertu des alinéas 7c) et d) de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend le Décret n^o 128 sur l’aide financière à l’égard d’une urgence provinciale, ci-après.

PROVINCIAL EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ORDER NO. 128

DECLARATION

 1. The following provincial emergency is declared to be of concern to the federal government: between January 13 and March 31, 2010, the arrival at the Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal international airports of repatriated living and deceased victims of the earthquake which affected Haiti on January 12, 2010, and who required support from the province of Ontario.

AUTHORIZATION

 2. The Minister is authorized to provide financial assistance under paragraph 4(1)(j) of the Emergency Management Act to the province of Ontario in respect of the provincial emergency referred to in section 1.

DÉCRET N^o 128 SUR L’AIDE FINANCIÈRE

À L’ÉGARD D’UNE URGENCE PROVINCIALE

DÉCLARATION

1. Il est déclaré que l’urgence provinciale ci-après constitue un sujet de préoccupation pour le gouvernement fédéral : entre le 13 janvier et le 31 mars 2010, l’arrivée aux aéroports internationaux d’Ottawa, de Toronto et de Montréal des victimes vivantes et défuntes rapatriées à la suite du tremblement de terre qui a touché Haïti le 12 janvier 2010, lesquelles ont requis l’appui de l’Ontario.

AUTORISATION

2. Le ministre est autorisé à fournir, au titre de l’alinéa 4(1)j) de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences, une aide financière à l’Ontario à l’égard de l’urgence provinciale visée à l’article 1.
