Whereas the Honourable Alfred R. Landry, a Judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick, will attain the age of seventy-five years on April 21, 2011, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Alfred R. Landry has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $180,933.33 to the Honourable Alfred R. Landry, commencing on April 21, 2011, and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Alfred R. Landry, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine du Nouveau-Brunswick, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 21 avril 2011 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Alfred R. Landry a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde à l’honorable Alfred R. Landry, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 180 933,33 $, payable à compter du 21 avril 2011.
