Whereas, pursuant to subsection 562.12(1) of the Canada Shipping Act, a copy of the proposed Regulations Amending the Charts and Nautical Publications Regulations, 1995, substantially in the form set out in the annexed Regulations, was published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on May 19, 2001 and a reasonable opportunity was thereby afforded to ship owners, masters, seamen and other interested persons to make representations to the Minister of Transport with respect to the proposed Regulations;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to paragraph 562.1(1)(a) of the Canada Shipping Act and subparagraph 12(1)(a)(viii) of the Arctic Waters Pollution Prevention Act, hereby makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Charts and Nautical Publications Regulations, 1995.

Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 562.12(1) de la Loi sur la marine marchande du Canada, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les cartes marines et les publications nautiques (1995), conforme en substance au texte ci-après, a été publié dans la Gazette du Canada Partie I le 19 mai 2001 et que les propriétaires de navire, capitaines, marins et autres intéressés ont ainsi eu la possibilité de présenter leurs observations à cet égard au ministre des Transports,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu de l'alinéa 562.1(1)a) de la Loi sur la marine marchande du Canada et du sous-alinéa 12(1)a)(viii) de la Loi sur la prévention de la pollution des eaux arctiques, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil prend le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les cartes marines et les publications nautiques (1995), ci-après.
