Whereas the Honourable B. Thomas Granger, a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario, will attain the age of seventy-five years on February 2, 2011, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable B. Thomas Granger has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $180,933.33 to the Honourable B. Thomas Granger, commencing on February 2, 2011, and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable B. Thomas Granger, juge de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 2 février 2011 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable B. Thomas Granger a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde à l’honorable B. Thomas Granger, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 180 933,33 $, payable à compter du 2 février 2011.
