Whereas, pursuant to subsection 53(2) of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act, the annexed regulations entitled Regulations Amending the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Regulations (Miscellaneous Program), made under subsection 53(1) of that Act, have no force or effect until the appropriate provincial Minister of each of at least two thirds of the participating provinces having in total not less than two thirds of the population of all of the participating provinces has approved the Regulations;

Whereas the approval of the appropriate provincial Ministers of at least two thirds of the participating provinces having in total not less than two thirds of the population of all of the participating provinces will be sought after the annexed Regulations are made;

And whereas the date on which the annexed Regulations come into force will be published in the Canada Gazette;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 53(1) of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act, hereby makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Regulations (Miscellaneous Program).

Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 53(2) de la Loi sur l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, le règlement intitulé Règlement correctif visant le Règlement sur l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, ci-après, pris en vertu du paragraphe 53(1) de cette loi n’entre pas en vigueur tant que les ministres provinciaux compétents d’au moins les deux tiers des provinces participantes, comptant au total les deux tiers au moins de la population de toutes ces provinces, n’ont pas approuvé le règlement;

Attendu qu’il sera demandé aux ministres provinciaux compétents d’au moins les deux tiers des provinces participantes, comptant au total les deux tiers au moins de la population de toutes ces provinces, d’approuver le règlement, ci-après;

Attendu qu’un avis de la date d’entrée en vigueur du règlement ci-après sera publié dans la Gazette du Canada,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Finances et en vertu du paragraphe 53(1) de la Loi sur l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend le Règlement correctif visant le Règlement sur l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, ci-après.
