   His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Veterans Affairs, pursuant to paragraph 127.1(1)(c) of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby appoints Guy Parent of Gatineau, Quebec, to the position of special adviser to the Minister of Veterans Affairs, as Veterans’ Ombudsman to hold office during good behaviour for a non-renewable term of five years, and fixes his remuneration as set out in the annexed schedule, which remuneration is within the range GCQ 4 ($117,600 - $138,400), effective November 11, 2010.

   Sur recommandation du ministre des Anciens Combattants et en vertu de l’alinéa 127.1(1)c) de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique , Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil nomme Guy Parent, de Gatineau (Québec), au poste de conseiller spécial du ministre des Anciens Combattants, à titre d’ ombudsman des anciens combattants à titre inamovible pour un mandat non renouvelable de cinq ans , et fixe son traitement conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 4 (117 600 $ - 138 400 $), à compter du 11 novembre 2010 .
