   His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to sections 6, 7 and 9 of the Canadian Polar Commission Act, hereby appoints Bernard Funston of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Polar Commission to hold office during pleasure for a term of three years, and fixes his remuneration at the per diem rate set out in the annexed schedule, which rate is within the range GC 4 ($590 - $690).

   Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien et en vertu des articles 6, 7 et 9 de la Loi sur la Commission canadienne des affaires polaires, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil nomme Bernard Funston, d’Ottawa (Ontario), président du conseil d’administration de la Commission canadienne des affaires polaires à titre amovible pour un mandat de trois ans, et fixe sa rémunération au taux journalier établi à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel se situe dans l’échelle GC 4 (590 $ - 690 $).
