Whereas the Honourable John Fraser Hamilton, a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario, will attain the age of seventy-five years on October 12, 2010, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable John Fraser Hamilton has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $180,933.33 to the Honourable John Fraser Hamilton, commencing on October 12, 2010, and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable John Fraser Hamilton, juge de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 12 octobre 2010 et, en conséquence, cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable John Fraser Hamilton a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable John Fraser Hamilton, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 180 933,33 $, payable à compter du 12 octobre 2010.
