Whereas, pursuant to subsection 16(1) of the Cree-Naskapi (of Quebec) Act, the Eastmain Band has made the annexed By-Law No. 131 concerning the change of the name of the band;

And whereas, pursuant to subsection 16(1) of that Act, By-Law No. 131 was approved by the electors of the Eastmain Band at a special band meeting, held on November 12, 2009, at which at least five percent of the electors of the band voted on the matter;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to subsection 16(1) of the Cree-Naskapi (of Quebec) Act, hereby approves the annexed By-Law No. 131 concerning the change of the name of the band, made by the Eastmain Band on October 29, 2009.

Attendu que, en vertu du paragraphe 16(1) de la Loi sur les Cris et les Naskapis du Québec, la bande de Eastmain a adopté le règlement administratif n^o 131 concernant la modification de la désignation de la bande, ci-joint;

Attendu que, en vertu du paragraphe 16(1) de cette loi, les électeurs de la bande de Eastmain ont approuvé le règlement administratif n^o 131 en assemblée extraordinaire tenue le 12 novembre 2009, avec un taux de participation au vote d’au moins cinq pour cent,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien et en vertu du paragraphe 16(1) de la Loi sur les Cris et les Naskapis du Québec, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve le règlement administratif n^o 131 concernant la modification de la désignation de la bande, ci-joint, adopté par la bande de Eastmain le 29 octobre 2009.
