    Whereas the Prime Minister has consulted with the Leader of the Opposition in the House of Commons and the leader in the House of Commons of each party having at least twelve members in that House;

    Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 34 of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service Act, hereby appoints the Honourable Arthur Thomas Porter, P.C., of Montréal, Quebec, to be Chairman of the Security Intelligence Review Committee to hold office during good behaviour for a term of five years, effective June 24, 2010.

    À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 34 de la Loi sur le Service canadien du renseignement de sécurité, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme l’honorable Arthur Thomas Porter, c.p., de Montréal (Québec), président du comité de surveillance des activités de renseignement de sécurité, à titre inamovible pour un mandat de cinq ans, à compter du 24 juin 2010.
