Whereas the Honourable Kenneth R. MacDonald, a Judge of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island, will attain the age of seventy-five years on June 29, 2010, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Kenneth R. MacDonald has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) and subsection 43(1) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $198,333.33 to the Honourable Kenneth R. MacDonald, commencing on June 29, 2010, and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l'honorable Kenneth R. MacDonald, juge de la Cour suprême de l’Ile-du-Prince-Edouard, atteindra l'âge de soixante-quinze ans le 29 juin 2010 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d'occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Kenneth R. MacDonald a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) et du paragraphe 43(1) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à

l'honorable Kenneth R. MacDonald, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 198 333,33 $, payable à compter du 29 juin 2010.
