Whereas the Honourable Allan Harvey Wachowich, a Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, will attain the age of seventy-five years on March 8, 2010, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Alan Harvey Wachowich has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) and subsection 43(1) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $195,266.66 to the Honourable Allan Harvey Wachowich, commencing on March 8, 2010, and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Allan Harvey Wachowich, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de l’Alberta, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 8 mars 2010 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Allan Harvey Wachowich a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) et du paragraphe 43(1) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Allan Harvey Wachowich, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 195 266,66 $, payable à compter du 8 mars 2010.
