   The Committee of the Privy Council have had before them reports representing that vacancies have occurred in the representation in the House of Commons

 1.  for the electoral district of New Westminster—Coquitlam, in the Province of British Columbia, by reason of the resignation of Dawn Black;

 2.  for the electoral district of Cumberland—Colchester— Musquodoboit Valley, in the Province of Nova Scotia, by reason of the resignation of Bill Casey;

 3.  for the electoral district of Montmagny—L’Islet—Kamouraska— Rivière-du-Loup, in the Province of Quebec, by reason of the resignation of Paul Crête; and

 4.  for the electoral district of Hochelaga, in the Province of Quebec, by reason of the resignation of Réal Ménard.

   The Committee, therefore, advises that writs do issue for the election of new Members to the House of Commons for those electoral districts , to be dated October 4, 2009, and that the polling be on November 9, 2009.

   Le Comité du conseil privé a reçu des rapports exposant qu’il existe des vacances à la Chambre des communes

 1.  pour la circonscription électorale de New Westminster—

     Coquitlam (Colombie-Britannique), en raison de la démission

     de Dawn Black;

 2.  pour la circonscription électorale de Cumberland—Colchester—

     Musquodoboit Valley (Nouvelle-Écosse), en raison de la démission

     de Bill Casey;

 3.  pour la circonscription électorale de Montmagny—L’Islet—

     Kamouraska— Rivière-du-Loup (Québec), en raison de la démission

     de Paul Crête;

 4.  pour la circonscription électorale d’Hochelaga (Québec), en raison de la démission de Réal Ménard.

       À ces causes, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande que des brefs d’élections, datés du 4 octobre 2009, soient délivrés en vue de combler les vacances à la Chambre des communes pour ces circonscriptions électorales et que le scrutin se tienne le 9 novembre 2009.
