Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs:

(a) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Exchange of Letters concerning the amendment of Annex V to the Agreement between the European Community and the Government of Canada on sanitary measures to protect public and animal health in respect of trade in live animals and animal products; or

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Ross Hornby, Ambassador of Canada to the European Union, or Jean Enright Saint-Jacques, Minister-Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission, or Carole Swan, President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Exchange of Letters concerning the amendment of Annex V to the Agreement between the European Community and the Government of Canada on sanitary measures to protect public and animal health in respect of trade in live animals and animal products.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Échange de lettres concernant la modification de l’Annexe V de l’Accord entre la Communauté européenne et le gouvernement du Canada relatif aux mesures sanitaires de protection de la santé publique et animale applicables au commerce d’animaux vivants et de produits animaux;

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Ross Hornby, ambassadeur du Canada auprès de l’Union européenne, Jean Enright Saint-Jacques, ministre-conseiller et chef de mission adjoint, ou Carole Swan, présidente de l’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Échange de lettres concernant la modification de l’Annexe V de l’Accord entre la Communauté européenne et le gouvernement du Canada relatif aux mesures sanitaires de protection de la santé publique et animale applicables au commerce d’animaux vivants et de produits animaux.
