   Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to Vote No. 1 (Foreign Affairs and International Trade) of Appropriation Act No. 2, 2009-10, hereby:

 (a) appoints the Honourable Gary Doer as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the United States of America; and

 (b) fixes his salary and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($231,500 - $272,400);

effective October 18, 2009.

     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu du crédit n° 1 (Affaires étrangères et Commerce international) de la Loi de crédits n° 2 pour 2009-2010, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 a) nomme l’honorable Gary Doer en qualité d'ambassadeur extraordinaire et plénipotentiaire du Canada auprès des États-Unis d'Amérique;

 b) fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (231 500 $ - 272 400 $);

à compter du 18 octobre 2009.
