   Whereas, after consultation with the leader of every recognized party in the Senate and House of Commons, by resolution of the Senate dated June 22, 2009, and resolution of the House of Commons dated June 10, 2009, the Senate and House of Commons have approved the appointment of Karen E. Shepherd as Commissioner of Lobbying;

   Therefore, the Committee of the Privy Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 4.1 of the Lobbying Act, advises that a Commission do issue under the Great Seal appointing Karen E. Shepherd of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Commissioner of Lobbying to hold office during good behaviour for a term of seven years, and fixes her remuneration and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, which remuneration is within the range GCQ 6 ($163,000 - $191,800), effective June 30, 2009.

   Attendu que, après consultation du chef de chacun des partis reconnus au Sénat et à la Chambre des communes, en vertu d’une résolution prise par le Sénat en date du 22 juin 2009 et d’une résolution prise par la Chambre des communes en date du 10 juin 2009, le Sénat et la Chambre des communes ont approuvé la nomination de Karen E. Shepherd à titre de commissaire au lobbying,

   À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 4.1 de la Loi sur le lobbying, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande de nommer, par commission sous le grand seau, Karen E. Shepherd, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire au lobbying, pour occuper sa charge à titre inamovible pour un mandat de sept ans, et fixe sa rémunération et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, laquelle rémunération se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 6 (163 000 $ - 191 000 $), à compter du 30 juin 2009.
