Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs:

(a) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between Canada and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the Promotion and Protection of Investments; or

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Stockwell Day, Minister for International Trade, or Margaret Huber, Ambassador of Canada to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, or Donald Stephenson, Assistant Deputy Minister, Trade Policy and Negotiations, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between Canada and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the Promotion and Protection of Investments.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le Canada et le Royaume hachémite de Jordanie concernant la promotion et la protection des investissements;

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Stockwell Day, ministre du Commerce international, ou Margaret Huber, ambassadeur du Canada auprès du Royaume hachémite de Jordanie, ou Donald Stephenson, sous-ministre adjoint, Politique et négociations commerciales, ministère des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce international, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le Canada et le Royaume hachémite de Jordanie concernant la promotion et la protection des investissements.
