Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs:

(a) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, the Exchange of Notes between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America concluding amendments to the Treaty between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America on Pacific Coast Albacore Tuna Vessels and Port Privileges; or

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Michael Wilson, Ambassador of Canada to the United States of America, or Kevin O = Shea, Political Minister, Embassy of Canada to the United States of America, or Kim Perry Butler, Director General, North America General Relations Bureau, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, the Exchange of Notes between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America concluding amendments to the Treaty between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America on Pacific Coast Albacore Tuna Vessels and Port Privileges. 

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, l’Échange de notes entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique concluant les amendements au Traité entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique concernant les thoniers (thon blanc) du Pacifique et leurs privilèges portuaires;

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Michael Wilson, ambassadeur du Canada auprès des États-Unis d’Amérique, ou Kevin O’Shea, ministre politique, ambassade du Canada auprès des États-Unis d’Amérique, ou Kim Perry Butler, directeur général, Direction générale des relations générales avec l’Amérique du Nord, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, l’Échange de notes entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique concluant les amendements au Traité entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique concernant les thoniers (thon blanc) du Pacifique et leurs privilèges portuaires.
