Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, the Honourable John Klebuc, Chief Justice of Saskatchewan, will be unable to act from July 6 to September 8, 2009, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that other persons be appointed Administrator for that period;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, hereby

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable John Klebuc as Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, effective July 6, 2009;

(b) appoints the Honourable Marjorie A. Gerwing to be Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective July 6, 2009;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Marjorie A Gerwing as Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, effective August 23, 2009;

(d) appoints the Honourable Nicholas W. Sherstobitoff to be Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective August 23, 2009;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Nicholas W. Sherstobitoff as Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, effective September 9, 2009; and

(f) appoints the Honourable John Klebuc to be Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective September 9, 2009.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de la Saskatchewan, l’honorable John Klebuc, juge en chef de la Saskatchewan, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 6 juillet au 8 septembre 2009, inclusivement, et qu’il est donc nécessaire que d’autres personnes soient nommées administrateur pour cette période,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable John Klebuc au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Saskatchewan, avec prise d’effet le 6 juillet 2009;

b) nomme l’honorable Marjorie A. Gerwing à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Saskatchewan afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Saskatchewan durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 6 juillet 2009;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Marjorie A. Gerwing au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Saskatchewan, avec prise d’effet le 23 août 2009;

d) nomme l’honorable Nicholas W. Sherstobitoff à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Saskatchewan afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Saskatchewan durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 23 août 2009;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Nicholas W. Sherstobitoff au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Saskatchewan, avec prise d’effet le 9 septembre 2009;

f) nomme l’honorable John Klebuc à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Saskatchewan afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Saskatchewan durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 9 septembre 2009.
