Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 5 of the Library and Archives of Canada Act, hereby appoints Daniel J. Caron of Gatineau, Quebec, to be Librarian and Archivist of Canada of the Library and Archives of Canada, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GC 8 ($180,800 - $212,700), effective April 25, 2009.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 5 de la Loi sur la Bibliothèque et les Archives du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Daniel J. Caron, de Gatineau (Québec), au poste de bibliothécaire et archiviste du Canada de Bibliothèque et Archives du Canada, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement conformément à l'annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l'échelle GC 8 (180 800 $ - 212 700 $), à compter du 25 avril 2009.
