Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs:

(a) to sign, on behalf of Canada, subject to ratification, the Convention between Canada and the Republic of Madagascar for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income; or

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Janet Siddall, Ambassador of Canada to the Republic of Madagascar, or Kenneth Sunquist, Assistant Deputy Minister, Asia and Africa and Chief Trade Commissioner, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, to sign, on behalf of Canada, subject to ratification, the Convention between Canada and the Republic of Madagascar for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) soit à signer, au nom du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, la Convention entre le Canada et la République de Madagascar en vue d’éviter les doubles impositions et de prévenir l’évasion fiscale en matière d’impôts sur le revenu;

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Janet Siddall, ambassadeur du Canada auprès de la République de Madagascar, ou Kenneth Sunquist, sous-ministre adjoint, Asie et Afrique et délégué commercial en chef, ministère des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce international, à signer, au nom du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, la Convention entre le Canada et la République de Madagascar en vue d’éviter les doubles impositions et de prévenir l’évasion fiscale en matière d’impôts sur le revenu.
