                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 3 of the Department of Industry Act, hereby appoints Jean-Claude Villiard of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Deputy Minister of Industry, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary as set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range ($197,200 - $232,000), effective June 2, 2003.

                      Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l'article 3 de la Loi sur le ministère de l'Industrie, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Jean-Claude Villiard, d'Ottawa (Ontario), au poste de sous-ministre de l'Industrie, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement au taux spécifié à l'annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l'échelle (197 200 $ - 232 000 $), à compter du 2 juin 2003.
