   Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Defence, pursuant to paragraph 127.1(1)(c) of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby appoints Pierre Daigle of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, to the position of special adviser to the Minister of National Defence, as Ombudsperson for the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of five years, and fixes his remuneration and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GCQ 6 ($160,600 - $188,900), effective February 23, 2009.

   Sur recommandation du ministre de la Défense nationale et en vertu de l’alinéa 127.1(1)c) de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Pierre Daigle, de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Québec), au poste de conseiller spécial du ministre de la Défense nationale, à titre d’ombudsman du ministère de la Défense nationale et des Forces canadiennes, à titre inamovible pour un mandat de cinq ans, et fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 6 (160 600 $ - 188 900 $), à compter du 23 février 2009.
