                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 3 of the Department of the Environment Act, hereby appoints Suzanne Hurtubise of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Deputy Minister of the Environment, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes her salary at the rate set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range ($176,000 - $207,100), effective June 2, 2003.

                     Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 3 de la Loi sur le ministère de l’Environnement, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Suzanne Hurtubise, d’Ottawa (Ontario), au poste de sous-ministre de l’Environnement, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement conformément à l'annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l'échelle (176 000 $ - 207 100 $), à compter du 2 juin 2003.
