   Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, hereby:

 (a)  pursuant to paragraph 3(d) and sections 6 and 8 of the Standards Council of Canada Act, hereby re-appoints Hugh A. Krentz of Calgary, Alberta, to be a member of the Standards Council of Canada to hold office during pleasure for a term of one year;

 (b)  pursuant to subsection 7(1) of the Standards Council of Canada Act, hereby designates Hugh A. Krentz as Chairperson of the Standards Council of Canada to hold office during pleasure for a term of one year; and

 (c)  pursuant to section 9 of the Standards Council of Canada Act, fixes his remuneration as set out in the annexed schedule, which remuneration is comprised of a per diem within the range $490 - $575.

   Sur recommandation du ministre de l’Industrie, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 a)  en vertu de l’alinéa 3d) et des articles 6 et 8 de la Loi sur le Conseil canadien des normes, renouvelle le mandat de Hugh A. Krentz, de Calgary (Alberta), conseiller du Conseil canadien des normes à titre amovible pour une période d’un an;

 b)  en vertu du paragraphe 7(1) de la Loi sur le Conseil canadien des normes, désigne Hugh A. Krentz au poste de président du Conseil canadien des normes à titre amovible pour un mandat d’un an;

 c)  en vertu de l’article 9 de la Loi sur le Conseil canadien des normes, fixe sa rémunération conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, laquelle rémunération est composée d’un taux journalier dans l’échelle 490 $ - 575 $.
