Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Ontario,

the Honourable Warren K. Winkler, Chief Justice of Ontario, will be unable to act from December 1 to December 5, 2008, inclusive, and from

December 15, 2008, to January 2, 2009, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that another person be appointed Administrator for these periods;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, hereby

 

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Warren K. Winkler as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective December 1, 2008;

 

(b) appoints the Honourable Michael Moldaver to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective December 1, 2008;

 

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Michael Moldaver as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective December 6, 2008;

 

(d) appoints the Honourable Warren K. Winkler to be Administrator of

the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective December 6, 2008;

 

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Warren K. Winkler as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective

December 15, 2008;

(f) appoints the Honourable Michael Moldaver to be Administrator of

the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective December 15, 2008;

 

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Michael Moldaver as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective January 3, 2009; and

 

(h) appoints the Honourable Warren K. Winkler to be Administrator of

the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective January 3, 2009.

 

 

 

 

 


Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, l'honorable Warren K. Winkler, juge en chef de l’Ontario, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 1er décembre au 5 décembre 2008, inclusivement, et du 15 décembre 2008 au 2 janvier 2009, inclusivement, et qu’il est donc nécessaire qu’une autre personne soit nommée administrateur pour ces périodes,

 

   À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Warren K. Winkler au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le

1er décembre 2008;

 

b) nomme l’honorable Michael Moldaver à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions du lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 1er décembre 2008;

 

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Michael Moldaver au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le

6 décembre 2008;

 

d) nomme l’honorable Warren K. Winkler à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions du lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 6 décembre 2008;

15 décembre 2008;

3 janvier 2009;

 

h) nomme l’honorable Warren K. Winkler à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions du lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 3 janvier 2009.
