Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs:

(a) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Convention on Cluster Munitions; or

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Peter Gordon MacKay, Minister of National Defence, or Peter Kent, Minister of State of Foreign Affairs (Americas), or Jillian Stirk, Ambassador of Canada to the Kingdom of Norway, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Convention on Cluster Munitions.

Sur recommendation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, la Convention sur les armes à sous-munitions;

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Peter Gordon MacKay, ministre de la Défense nationale, ou Peter Kent, ministre d’État des Affaires étrangères (Amériques), ou Jillian Stirk, ambassadeur du Canada auprès du Royaume de Norvège, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, la Convention sur les armes à

sous-munitions.
