Whereas the Honourable A. Fraser Wilson, a Judge of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, who has attained the age of fifty-five years, who has continued in judicial office for at least ten years and who has elected early retirement with an immediate annuity, has tendered his resignation effective January 1, 2009;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, hereby:

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable A. Fraser Wilson; and

(b) pursuant to subsection 43.1(1) of the Judges Act, hereby grants him an annuity of $140,119.76, commencing on January 1, 2009 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l'honorable A. Fraser Wilson, juge de la Cour suprême de la Colombie-Britannique, ayant atteint l’âge de cinquante-cinq ans, ayant au moins dix ans d’ancienneté dans la magistrature et ayant choisi une retraite anticipée avec une pension immédiate, a donné sa démission, laquelle prend effet le 1^er janvier 2009,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a)   accepte la démission de l'honorable A. Fraser Wilson;

b) en vertu du paragraphe 43.1(1) de la Loi sur les juges, lui accorde, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 140 119,76 $, payable à compter du 1^er janvier 2009.
