   Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister and the Privacy Commissioner, pursuant to sections 56 and 57 of the Privacy Act, hereby appoints Chantal Bernier of Ottawa, Ontario, to be an Assistant Privacy Commissioner to hold office during good behaviour for a term of five years, and fixes her salary at the rate set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($141,200 - $166,200), effective December 8, 2008.

   Sur recommandation du premier ministre et de la Commissaire à la protection de la vie privée et en vertu des articles 56 et 57 de la Loi sur la protection des renseignements personnels, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Chantal Bernier, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire adjoint à la protection de la vie privée à titre inamovible pour un mandat de cinq ans, et fixe son traitement au taux spécifié à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (141 200 $ - 166 200 $), à compter du 8 décembre 2008.
