Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, hereby

 

(a) transfers to the Minister of the Environment the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Industry under the Mackenzie Gas Project Impacts Act in relation to the Mackenzie Gas Project, and

 

(b) transfers from the Department of Industry to the Department of the Environment the control and supervision of the portion of the federal public administration in the Department of Industry, known as the Mackenzie Gas Project Office,

 

effective October 30, 2008.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’alinéa 2a) de la Loi sur les restructurations et les transferts d’attributions dans l’administration publique, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a) transfère au ministre de l’Environnement les attributions conférées au ministre de l’Industrie en vertu de la Loi relative aux répercussions du projet gazier Mackenzie à l’égard du projet gazier Mackenzie;

 

b) transfère du ministère de l’Industrie au ministère de l’Environnement la responsabilité à l’égard du secteur de l’administration publique fédérale qui fait partie du ministère de l’Industrie et qui est connu sous le nom de Bureau du Projet gazier Mackenzie.

 

Ces mesures prennent effet le 30 octobre 2008.
