Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Ontario, the Honourable Warren K. Winkler, Chief Justice of Ontario, will be unable to act from October 13 to October 17, 2008, inclusive, from October 23 to October 24, 2008, inclusive, and from October 29 to October 31, 2008, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that other persons be appointed Administrator for these periods;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, hereby

 

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Warren K. Winkler as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective October 13, 2008;

 

(b) appoints the Honourable Heather Forster Smith to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of

the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 13, 2008;

 

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Heather Forster Smith as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective

October 18, 2008;

 

(d) appoints the Honourable Warren K. Winkler to be Administrator of

the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of

the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 18, 2008;

 

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Warren K. Winkler as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective October 23, 2008;

(f) appoints the Honourable Michael Moldaver to be Administrator of

the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of

the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 23, 2008;

 

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Michael Moldaver as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective

October 25, 2008;

 

(h) appoints the Honourable Warren K. Winkler to be Administrator of

the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of

the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 25, 2008;

 

(i) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Warren K. Winkler as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective October 29, 2008;

 

(j) appoints the Honourable Michael Moldaver to be Administrator of

the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of

the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 29, 2008;

 

(k) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Michael Moldaver as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective November 1, 2008; and

 

(l) appoints the Honourable Warren K. Winkler to be Administrator of

the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of

the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective November 1, 2008.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, l'honorable Warren K. Winkler, juge en chef de l’Ontario, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 13 octobre au 17 octobre 2008, inclusivement, du 23 octobre au 24 octobre 2008, inclusivement, et

du 29 octobre au 31 octobre 2008, inclusivement, et qu’il est donc nécessaire que d’autres personnes soient nommées administrateurs pour ces périodes,

 

                        À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre

du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Warren K. Winkler au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet

le 13 octobre 2008;

 

b) nomme l’honorable Heather Forster Smith à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions

de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 13 octobre 2008;

 

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Heather Forster Smith au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 

18 octobre 2008;

 

d) nomme l’honorable Warren K. Winkler à titre d’administrateur

du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions

de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 18 octobre 2008;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Warren K. Winkler au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet

le 23 octobre 2008;

 

f) nomme l’honorable Michael Moldaver à titre d’administrateur

du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions

de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 23 octobre 2008;

 

g) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Michael Moldaver au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 

25 octobre 2008;

 

h) nomme l’honorable Warren K. Winkler à titre d’administrateur

du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions

de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 25 octobre 2008;

 

i) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Warren K. Winkler au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 

29 octobre 2008;

 

j) nomme l’honorable Michael Moldaver à titre d’administrateur

du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions

de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 29 octobre 2008;
