Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, pursuant to subsection 26(1) of the Citizenship Act, hereby appoints George Springate of Montréal, Quebec, as a citizenship judge, to be senior judge, to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years on a full‑time basis, and fixes his salary at the rate set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GCQ 4 ($114,100 ‑ $134,200), effective October 6, 2008. 

Sur recommandation de la ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration et en vertu du paragraphe 26(1) de la Loi sur la citoyenneté, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme George Springate, de Montréal (Québec), comme juge de la citoyenneté, au poste de juge principal, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans, à temps plein, et fixe son traitement conformément à l’annexe ci‑jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 4 (114 100 $ ‑ 134 200 $), à compter du 6 octobre 2008.
