Whereas federal, provincial and territorial Ministers of Agriculture have committed to establishing a new market-based policy framework entitled “Growing Forward”;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri‑Food, pursuant to subsection 9(1) of the Farm Income Protection Act, hereby consents that the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food enter into amending agreements with the provinces and territories

 

(a) to change the name of the Federal / Provincial Agreement with respect to Net Income Stabilization Accounts, to the

“Federal / Provincial / Territorial Agreement with respect to AgriStability and AgriInvest”;

 

(b) to amend the Federal / Provincial / Territorial Agreement with respect to AgriStability and AgriInvest by replacing its terms with the terms set out in the attached Annex A;

 

(c) to change the name of the Production Insurance agreement with each Province to the “Federal / Provincial AgriInsurance Agreement”; and

 

(d) to amend the AgriInsurance Agreement by replacing its terms with the terms set out in the attached Annex B.

Attendu que les ministres fédéral, provinciaux et territoriaux de l’Agriculture se sont engagés à établir un nouveau cadre stratégique axé sur les marchés, intitulé « Cultivons l’avenir »,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire et en vertu du paragraphe 9(1) de la Loi sur la protection du revenu agricole, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil consent à ce que le ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire conclue des accords modificateurs avec les provinces et les territoires :

 

a) pour remplacer le nom de l’Accord fédéral-provincial concernant le Compte de stabilisation du revenu net par « Accord fédéral-provincial-territorial sur les programmes Agri‑stabilité et Agri‑investissement »;

 

b) pour remplacer les modalités de l’Accord fédéral-provincial-territorial sur les programmes Agri‑stabilité et Agri‑investissement par les modalités qui figurent à l’annexe A ci‑jointe;

 

c) pour remplacer le nom de l’Accord sur l’assurance‑production conclu avec chaque province par « Accord fédéral-provincial sur le programme Agri‑protection »;

 

d) pour remplacer les modalités de l’Accord sur le programme Agri‑protection par les modalités qui figurent à l’annexe B ci‑jointe.
