Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 11 of the Ministries and Ministers of State Act, hereby

 

(a) terminates the assignment of the Honourable David Emerson, made by Order in Council P.C. 2006-31 of February 6, 2006; and

 

(b) assigns the Honourable James Moore, a Minister of State to be styled Secretary of State (Asia-Pacific Gateway) (2010 Olympics) (Official Languages), to assist

 

(i) the Minister of Transport with respect to the Asia-Pacific Gateway in the carrying out of that Minister’s responsibilities, and

 

(ii) the Minister of Canadian Heritage with respect to the 2010 Olympics and the Official Languages in the carrying out of that Minister’s responsibilities.

 

Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 11 de la Loi sur les départements et ministres d’État, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a) met fin à la délégation de l’honorable David Emerson, faite par le décret C.P. 2006-31 du 6 février 2006;

 

b) délègue l’honorable James Moore, ministre d’État devant porter le titre de secrétaire d’État (Porte d’entrée de l’Asie-Pacifique) (Olympiques de 2010) (Langues officielles), auprès des ministres ci‑après afin qu’il leur prête son concours dans l’exercice de leurs responsabilités :

 

(i) le ministre des Transports, en ce qui a trait à la Porte d’entrée de l’Asie-Pacifique,

 

(ii) la ministre du Patrimoine canadien, en ce qui a trait aux Olympiques de 2010 et aux Langues officielles.
