Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to Order in Council P.C. 2008-793 of April 25, 2008, hereby appoints Claudette Dumont‑Smith, of Gatineau, Quebec, to be Commissioner of the Indian Residential Schools Truth and Reconciliation Commission, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of five years, and fixes her remuneration and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, effective June 1, 2008.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu du décret C.P. 2008-793 du 25 avril 2008, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Claudette Dumont-Smith, de Gatineau (Québec), commissaire de la Commission de vérité et de réconciliation relative aux pensionnats indiens, à titre inamovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans, et fixe sa rémunération et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, à compter du 1^er juin 2008.
