Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby

 

(a) pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition “department” in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Act, designates the Indian Residential Schools Truth and Reconciliation Commission Secretariat as a department for the purposes of that Act, effective June 1, 2008;

 

(b) pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition “deputy head” in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Act, designates the Executive Director of the Indian Residential Schools Truth and Reconciliation Commission Secretariat as the deputy head of that Secretariat for the purposes of that Act, effective June 1, 2008; and

 

(c) repeals paragraphs (a) and (b), effective June 1, 2013.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a) en vertu de l’alinéa b) de la définition de « ministère » au paragraphe 2(1) de la Loi sur l'emploi dans la fonction publique, désigne le Secrétariat de la Commission de vérité et de réconciliation relative aux pensionnats indiens comme ministère pour l’application de cette loi, avec prise d’effet

le 1^er juin 2008;

 

b) en vertu de l’alinéa b) de la définition de « administrateur général » au paragraphe 2(1) de la Loi sur l'emploi dans la fonction publique, désigne le directeur général du Secrétariat de la Commission de vérité et de réconciliation relative aux pensionnats indiens comme administrateur général de ce secrétariat pour l’application de cette loi, avec prise d’effet

le 1^er juin 2008;

 

c) abroge les alinéas a) et b), avec prise d’effet le 1^er juin 2013.
