   Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to section 64 of the Tackling Violent Crime Act, chapter 6 of the Statutes of Canada, 2008, hereby fixes

 (a) May 1, 2008 as the day on which sections 1 to 17, 28 to 38, 54, 57 and 58 of that Act come into force; and

 (b) July 2, 2008 as the day on which sections 18 to 27, 39 to 53, 55, 56, 59 and 60 of that Act come into force.

   Sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’article 64 de la Loi sur la lutte contre les crimes violents, chapitre 6 des Lois du Canada (2008), Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil fixe :

 a) au 1^er mai 2008 la date d’entrée en vigueur des articles 1 à 17, 28 à 38, 54, 57 et 58 de cette loi;

 b) au 2 juillet 2008 la date d’entrée en vigueur des articles 18 à 27, 39 à 53, 55, 56, 59 et 60 de cette loi.
