Whereas the Honourable William Ernest Wilson, a Justice of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, will attain the age of seventy‑five years on June 17, 2008, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

 

And whereas the Honourable William Ernest Wilson has held judicial office for at least ten years;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $168,000 to the Honourable William Ernest Wilson, commencing on June 17, 2008 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l'honorable William Ernest Wilson, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de l’Alberta, atteindra l'âge de soixante‑quinze ans le 17 juin 2008 et, en conséquence, cessera d'occuper son poste à cette date en vertu de l'article 99 de la           Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

 

Attendu que l’honorable William Ernest Wilson a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l'alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l'honorable William Ernest Wilson, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de         168 000 $, payable à compter du 17 juin 2008.
