Whereas on April 21, 2007, the Minister of the Environment published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, pursuant to subsection 9(4) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (1999), a report that summarizes how any comments or notices of objection were dealt with in response to the publication of the proposed administrative agreement between the Government of Quebec and the Government of Canada regarding the regulations pertaining to the pulp and paper sector;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, hereby approves the entry by the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans into the Administrative Agreement Between the Government of Quebec and the Government of Canada Regarding the Implementation in Quebec of the Federal Regulations Pertaining to the Pulp and Paper Sector with the Government of Quebec, substantially in accordance with the attached agreement.

Attendu que, le 21 avril 2007, en application du paragraphe 9(4) de la Loi sur la protection de l’environnement (1999), le ministre de l’Environnement a publié dans la Gazette du Canada, Partie I, le rapport résumant la façon dont les observations ou oppositions reçues en réponse à la publication du projet d’Accord administratif entre le gouvernement du Québec et le gouvernement du Canada dans le cadre de l’application au Québec de la règlementation fédérale visant le secteur des pâtes et papiers ont été traitées,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de l’Environnement et du ministre des Pêches et des Océans concluent avec le gouvernement du Québec l’Accord administratif entre le gouvernement du Québec et le gouvernement du Canada dans le cadre de l’application au Québec de la règlementation fédérale visant le secteur des pâtes et papiers, lequel accord est conforme en substance au projet d’accord ci-joint.
