Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 127.1(1)(a) of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby appoints Munir Sheikh of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Chief Statistician Designate, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($199,700 - $234,900), effective March 3, 2008.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’alinéa 127.1(1)a) de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Munir Sheikh, d’Ottawa (Ontario), statisticien en chef désigné, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l'annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l'échelle (199 700 $ - 234 900 $), à compter du 3 mars 2008.
