Whereas paragraph 204.23(2) of the Queen’s Regulations and Orders for the Canadian Forces establishes the Military Judges Compensation Committee consisting of three members to be appointed by the Governor in Council;

 

And whereas subparagraph 204.23(2)(c) of the Queen’s Regulations and Orders for the Canadian Forces provides that one person shall be nominated by the members who are appointed under subparagraphs 204.23(2)(a) and (b);

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Defence, pursuant to section 165.22 of the National Defence Act and paragraph 204.23(2) of the Queen’s Regulations and Orders for the Canadian Forces, hereby appoints the Honourable Guy Richard, of Bouctouche, New Brunswick, as the person nominated by the members who are nominated under subparagraphs 204.23(2)(a) and (b), to be the Chairperson of the Military Judges Compensation Committee, to hold office during good behaviour for a term ending August 31, 2011, and fixes his remuneration as set out in the schedule hereto, which remuneration is comprised of a per diem within the range ($650 - $750).

Attendu que l’alinéa 204.23(2) des Ordonnances et règlements royaux applicables aux Forces canadiennes établit le Comité d’examen de la rémunération des juges militaires dont la composition est de trois membres nommés par le gouverneur en conseil;

 

Attendu que le sous-alinéa 204.23(2)c) des Ordonnances et règlements royaux applicables aux Forces canadiennes prescrit qu’une  personne doit être proposée par les membres nommés conformément aux sous-alinéas 204.23(2)a) et b),

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Défense nationale et en vertu de l’article 165.22 de la Loi sur la défense nationale et de l’alinéa 204.23(2) des Ordonnances et règlements royaux applicables aux Forces canadiennes, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme l’honorable Guy Richard, de Bouctouche  (Nouveau-Brunswick), proposé par les membres nommés conformément aux sous‑alinéas 204.23(2)a) et b), président du Comité d’examen de la rémunération des juges militaires, à titre inamovible pour un mandat se terminant le 31 août 2011, et fixe sa rémunération conformément à l’annexe ci‑jointe, laquelle rémunération est composée d’un taux journalier dans l’échelle (650 $ - 750 $).
