Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and the Treasury Board, pursuant to section 4 of the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development Act, the James Bay and Northern Quebec Native Claims Settlement Act, the Cree-Naskapi (of Quebec) Act and the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement 1975, hereby authorizes the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development to enter, on behalf of Her Majesty in right of Canada, into the “Agreement Concerning a New Relationship Between the Government of Canada and the Cree of Eeyou Istchee”, a copy of which is attached to this Order.
Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien et du Conseil du Trésor et en vertu de l’article 4 de la
Loi sur le ministère des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien, de la Loi sur le règlement des revendications des autochtones de la Baie James et du Nord québécois, de la Loi sur les Cris et les Naskapis du Québec, et de la Convention de la Baie-James et du Nord québécois, 1975, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise le ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien à conclure, au nom de Sa Majesté du chef du Canada, l’« Entente concernant une nouvelle relation entre le gouvernement du Canada et les Cris d’Eeyou Istchee », dont copie est jointe en annexe.
SCHEDULE
The costs involved in the Treasury Board for the Out-of-Court settlement agreement titled “Agreement Concerning a New Relationship Between the Government of Canada and the Cree of Eeyou Istchee”, shall be as follows:
Incremental funds totaling $1.197 billion over the two year period of
2007-2008 through 2008-2009 for the conclusion of the Out-of-Court settlement payments to the Cree of Quebec in accordance with the “Agreement Concerning a New Relationship Between the Government of Canada and the Cree of Eeyou Istchee”, to include an item in Supplementary Estimates and/or increase reference levels in Indian Affairs and Northern Development Vote 10, Grants and Contributions, in the amount as follows:
· $1,097,000,000 in 2007-2008 and $100,000,000 in 2008-2009.
ANNEXE
Les coûts requis auprès du Conseil du Trésor aux fins de l’entente de règlement à l’amiable intitulée « Entente concernant une nouvelle relation entre le gouvernement du Canada et les Cris d’Eeyou Istchee», prévoient ce qui suit, soit :
Des fonds additionnels totalisant 1197 milliard de dollars sur deux ans, soit de 2007-2008 à 2008-2009, pour la conclusion de l’entente de règlement à l’amiable susmentionnée, avec autorisation d’augmenter les niveaux de référence ou d’inscrire un poste au budget supplémentaire des dépenses, au crédit 10 (Subventions et Contributions) répartis comme suit :
· 1 097 milliard de dollars en 2007-2008, et 100 millions de dollars en 2008-2009.
