Whereas the office of the President of the Canadian Commercial Corporation is vacant;

 

Whereas the Board of Directors of the Canadian Commercial Corporation appointed Marc Whittingham, an officer of the Corporation, to act as President of the Corporation, effective October 3, 2007;

 

And whereas no person so appointed may act as President for a period of more than ninety days without the approval of the Governor in Council;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for International Trade, pursuant to subsection 3.2(4) of the Canadian Commercial Corporation Act, hereby approves the extension of the term of Marc Whittingham of Rockland, Ontario, as interim President of the Canadian Commercial Corporation for more than ninety days, until such time as a President is appointed, and fixes his salary and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GRP 5 ($176,500 - $207,700).

Attendu que le conseil d’administration de la Société a nommé Marc Whittingham, un dirigeant de la Société, à titre de président par intérim de la Société, à compter du 3 octobre 2007;

 

Attendu que la durée de l’intérim est, sauf prorogation approuvée par le gouverneur en conseil, limitée à quatre‑vingt‑dix jours,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre du Commerce international et en vertu du paragraphe 3.2(4) de la Loi sur la Corporation commerciale canadienne, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve la prorogation, au delà de quatre-vingt-dix jours, du mandat de Marc Whittingham, de Rockland (Ontario), à titre de président par intérim de la Corporation commerciale canadienne, jusqu’à ce qu’un président soit nommé, et fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci‑jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GRP 5 (176 500 $ ‑ 207 700 $).
