Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes that Minister:

 

(a) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, an exchange of letters constituting an Agreement between the Government of Canada, the Government of the United States of America and the Government of  the United Mexican States, amending Annex 401 of the North American Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Canada, the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the United Mexican States; or

 

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing the Honourable David Emerson, Minister for International Trade, or Marie-Lucie Morin, Deputy Minister of International Trade, or Paul Edward Robertson, Director General, North America Trade Policy Bureau, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, an exchange of letters constituting an Agreement between the Government of Canada, the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the United Mexican States, amending Annex 401 of the North American Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Canada, the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the United Mexican States.

 

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise le ministre des Affaires étrangères :

 

a) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, un échange de lettres constituant un Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada, le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique et le gouvernement des États-Unis du Mexique, modifiant l’Annexe 401 de l’Accord de

libre-échange nord-américain entre le gouvernement du Canada, le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique et le gouvernement des États-Unis du Mexique;

 

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant l’honorable David Emerson, ministre du Commerce international, ou Marie-Lucie Morin, sous-ministre du Commerce international, ou Paul Edward Robertson, directeur général, Politique commerciale de l’Amérique du Nord, ministère des Affaires étrangères et du Commerce international, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, un échange de lettres constituant un Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada, le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique et le gouvernement des États-Unis du Mexique, modifiant l’Annexe  401 de l’Accord de

libre-échange nord-américain entre le gouvernement du Canada, le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique et le gouvernement des États-Unis du Mexique.
