Whereas the Honourable Harry J. Keenan, a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario, will attain the age of seventy‑five years on September 15, 2007, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of section 99 of the Constitution Act, 1867;

 

And whereas the Honourable Harry J. Keenan has held judicial office for at least ten years;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, hereby grants an annuity of $168,000 to the Honourable Harry J. Keenan, commencing on September 15, 2007 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Harry J. Keenan, juge de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 15 septembre 2007 et, en conséquence, cessera d’occuper sa charge à cette date en application de l’article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

 

Attendu que l’honorable Harry J. Keenan a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Harry J. Keenan, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 168 000 $, payable à compter du 15 septembre 2007.
