Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to sections 5 and 8 of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency Act, hereby appoints Carole Swan of Ottawa, Ontario, to be President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years, and fixes her remuneration as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($195,500 ‑ $230,000), effective June 4, 2007.
