Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, pursuant to section 4 of the Patent Act and section 63 of the Trade-marks Act, hereby:

 

(a)       appoints Mary Carman of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Commissioner of Patents, to hold office during pleasure, for a term of five years;

 

(b)       appoints Mary Carman to be Registrar of Trade‑marks to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years; and

 

(c)        fixes her salary and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GCQ 7 ($166,100 - $195,400);

 

effective April 28, 2007.

Sur recommandation du ministre de l’Industrie et en vertu de l’article 4 de la Loi sur les brevets et de l’article 63 de la Loi sur les marques de commerce, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

 

a)         nomme Mary Carman, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire aux brevets, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans;

 

b)         nomme Mary Carman, registraire des marques de commerce, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans;

 

c)         fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 7 (166 100 $ ‑ 195 400 $);

 

à compter du 28 avril 2007.
