Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 11 of the Auditor General Act, hereby requests that the Auditor General of Canada:

 

(a) inquire into the financial aid received from the Government of Canada by the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, for the period from April 1, 2000 to March 31, 2006, with the view to determining if the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec exercised the appropriate level of due diligence and accountability in ensuring that the proper financial and management processes and controls were in place with respect to the disbursements of that aid; and

 

(b) provide a report to the Minister of Canadian Heritage, which report the Auditor General shall make public after its issuance to the Minister.

Sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 11 de la Loi sur le vérificateur général, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil demande à la vérificatrice générale du Canada :

 

a) de faire enquête sur l’aide financière accordée au lieutenant-gouverneur du Québec, du 1^er avril 2000 au 31 mars 2006, afin d’établir si celle-ci a veillé avec toute la diligence et toute la responsabilité voulues à ce que les mécanismes et contrôles financiers et gestionnels indiqués aient été adoptés relativement à la façon dont cette aide a été dépensée;

 

b) de dresser un rapport sur cette enquête, à l’intention de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien, et de rendre ce rapport public après l’avoir transmis à la ministre.
