Whereas, pursuant to paragraph 127.1(1)c) of the Public Service Employment Act, the Governor in Council may appoint a special adviser to a minister;

 

And whereas the Governor in Council deems it necessary that there be a special adviser to the Minister of Veterans Affairs acting as the veterans’ ombudsman;

 

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby sets out in the annexed schedule the terms and conditions of employment of the special adviser to the Minister of Veterans Affairs, to be known as the Veterans’ Ombudsman, who may be appointed by the Governor in Council under paragraph 127.1(1)c) of the Public Service Employment Act.

Attendu que, en vertu de l’alinéa 127.1(1)c) de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique, le gouverneur en conseil peut nommer un conseiller spécial d’un ministre;

 

Attendu que la gouverneure en conseil juge nécessaire qu’il y ait un conseiller spécial du ministre des Anciens Combattants agissant comme ombudsman des anciens combattants,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil établit, conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, les modalités d’emploi du conseiller spécial du ministre des Anciens Combattants, lequel doit porter le titre d’ombudsman des anciens combattants, que le gouverneur en conseil peut nommer en vertu de l’alinéa 127.1(1)c) de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique.
