Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Revenue and the Treasury Board, pursuant to subsection 7(2) of the Federal-Provincial Fiscal Arrangements Act, hereby approves that the Minister of National Revenue, on behalf of the Government of Canada, enter into, with the Government of Quebec, the Agreement regarding an amendment to the “Agreement to amend Part VII of the ‘Agreement with respect to the Administration by Quebec of Part IX of the Excise Tax Act relating to the Goods and Services Tax’ regarding the compensation of additional investment costs incurred by Quebec as a result of the redesign of the GST/HST systems within the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency”, entered into with the Government of Quebec on December 14, 2005, to extend its application to the 2007-2008 fiscal year, which amending agreement is substantially in accordance with the annexed draft agreement.

Sur recommandation de la ministre du Revenu national et du Conseil du Trésor et en vertu du paragraphe 7(2) de la Loi sur les arrangements fiscaux entre le gouvernement fédéral et les provinces, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil approuve la conclusion par la ministre du Revenu national, pour le compte du gouvernement du Canada, avec le gouvernement du Québec, de l’Entente concernant une modification de l’« Entente visant la modification de la Partie VII de l’« Entente relative à l’administration par le Québec de la Partie IX de la Loi sur la taxe d’accise concernant la taxe sur les produits et services » concernant la compensation du Québec pour les coûts d’investissement additionnels occasionnés par la restructuration des systèmes TPS/TVH au sein de l’Agence des douanes et du revenu du Canada » conclue avec le gouvernement du Québec le 14 décembre 2005, afin d’en prolonger la durée d’application à l’exercice 2007‑2008, laquelle entente modificatrice est conforme en substance au projet d’entente ci‑joint.
